2033. Transform Our Emotions | Mantra#2 – NamMo TaMo TaMo DaRaHoang

Good morning. Time for us to do meditation to receive and to offer our merits, our energy to all our loved ones. For those who have been practicing with me for awhile I ask you to just sit down in a position you feel comfortable. Let’s begin.

May all sentient beings be free of suffering and receive compassion and wisdom from all the Buddhas from ten directions. May all of us be blessed. Let’s put the right hand on top of the left hand called compassion hand. What we focus on today is “Transforming our emotions.” In order to transform it we listen to our thoughts, our feelings. Then we chant the compassion mantra to activate our compassion energy, and our wisdom mantra to activate our wisdom to see through and guide our emotions in a good way.

Let’s practice first. When you breathe in you breathe in through your nose carry it down to your lower belly, expanding. You hold it there for three seconds and you use your mind guiding the energy by concentrating on the heaven gate point. It is located by the ending bone in the front. Then you release your breathing out sunken your belly, and you chanting the two mantras one after another while breathing out.

Just relax. We do it seven times. May all of us connect with the Buddha and receive a great energy.

Breathe in, expanding the belly, hold it there for three seconds, concentrate by the heaven gate point, breathe out, sunken your belly, and we all chant the mantras:

Mu A Mu Sa – Na Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng. (7x)

Be silent, listen to your energy, keep doing the breathing technique. This is really important for us to listen to our feelings. Be with the feelings and get along with that to understand how our feelings in our life all our emotions are created by our interactions between one another. There are good emotions and bad emotions. Either one, everything happens always has two kinds, good and bad. You can name many different meanings, but however, there are some feelings that make you feel good and some make you feel bad. A bad feeling is increased just because whatever happened in between that does not match with our expectations. If it does not satisfy the feeling will trigger and open up the energy which is driving us crazy. Sometimes it is so strong, then it creates the action which would harm others.

We experience at that moment it is very hard to stop. A lot of anger. We all know at the moment. But it happens so quickly it is very hard to control if we don’t practice. Our emotions are just like a car. You need to practice how you drive the car  sit in the driver seat and learn how to control. Buddha says use the tools of mindfulness practice and engage with the compassion and wisdom to help us to be very good driver. Don’t need to put you in the seat too hard for you to get it right away but take time to practice. In America we all know how to drive the care because it is very important for us all to know. At 15 years old we already practice. After we have a license we are going to drive the rest of our lives. Most still sit in the drivers seat when we need to.

Meditation practice of mindfulness, compassion, and wisdom energy for us to take a driver seat, we sit right on all of our emotions. Driving it right into the right direction to benefit. So, there is not need for us to run away, to reject or to surrender all our emotions. It is good to be friendly with our emotions to understand and learn how to engage and to be until we can take control and guide it into the right direction. It benefits us.

Buddha really talking about all our emotions always happen because as a human, we are interacting with a lot of people. The different view every day. Those differences is very hard for us to settle down to satisfy our feelings because every individual has different expectations about what to do, see, say, even what to eat. So when there are differences we all have a bad feeling. It is ok to have a good and a bad feeling, but it is not ok to allow the bad feeling to drive us crazy. So Buddha says it is ok but it is good for us to listen to it, to watch, to see it, and to find out what kind of trigger that makes those kinds of feelings or emotions increase. We are living in Maryland. There are four seasons. The winter is coming very soon. You know when you drive on snow or ice, you have to be very careful. The only way you can get on that safely by living through the seasons year in and out is through experience and practice. Only practice helps us to be comfortable and take charge of whatever we do. Practice and practice. When we practice meditation with us we mostly focus on activating our compassion and wisdom energy. The wisdom energy lighting up helps us to slowly and willingly to watch our emotions when they raise up, and find out what causes those kinds of feelings. We use the compassion energy. The Mu A Mu Sa  to guide the feeling to go in the right direction.  Compassion is helping us to guide our feeling. Wisdom helping us to see clearer. To see through. Every time we breathe in and carry down to our lower body we hold it there for three seconds. We all feel the heat from the lower part of our body generated, and flow around our body while we breathe out. That energy vibrates our entire body and has a little warm energy flowing around. Physically it is very healthy, and mentally we slowly get clearer to see through. Practice is really important. We are here to practice and connect with all our loved ones through the wisdom and compassion. We all respect each other. So we respect our emotions. Respect does not mean to let it drive us crazy. Respect means to know what causes it, and put our hand on it to make it better.

Buddha says, in order to transform us we us the mindfulness meditation breathing technique with the two mantras Mu A Mu Sa and Na Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng. Every time we chant this mantra. We receive the energy from the Buddha. Physically and mentally, we feel it. So when you breathe in and out and fill with the energy. You allow your body and mind to observe it and allow it to flow. Take not which part of your body the energy flows there. If any thought or feelings any emotions rise up, you just watch and connect with the energy. It will be transformed naturally, instantly. No need for any work from us to convert, to push or to make it happen in the way we want. Just let the nature know what to do by itself. To maintain the environment in the best of what benefits for all, not just for ourself.

Now we are thinking about our loved ones, parents, husband wife, children, community, friends. Whoever comes first connect with them spiritually. Physically we practice and we offer our best energy to all. When thinking about them, connect with them. These two mantras we are chanting we receive the energy and offer it to all of them together at the moment. They will experience and receive that energy too. You could practice and focus on that one. Later you can ask them did you feel anything at that time. They may say that they did. This is the true practice you can experience not just by talking. So practice and asking for whoever you offer your merit energy to let’s see if they receive it or not. Sometimes it is very strong, sometimes very little. At least there is the energy that you offer for them that they receive it.

Let’s practice again. This time we concentrate on our compassion and wisdom energy and wish everybody connects with all the Buddhas, the awakened ones in the ten directions. The awakened energy from all the universe.

We breathe in, expanding the belly, hold it there for three seconds, concentrate on the heaven gate point, breathe out, sunken the belly, chanting the mantra very slowly:

Mu A Mu Sa – Na Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng. (7x)

WE all are silent, and we focus on the top of our head. Feel the energy there. All the energy on the top of your head to generate and flow around. Keep your mind, your attention still there on the top of your head. Generating peaceful energy connect with them mentally. We connect with all of them. We pray for our loved ones to be peaceful happy and healthy. Just keep visualizing the energy on top of your head. Flowing around and sink down your entire body. Just observe the energy and fill with that .

Yes. That is all we do every Saturday. Mostly focus on the energy to help us to have a peaceful, happy and healthy week. We pray for all sentient beings to be free of suffering. For all loved ones to be strong and do the right thing for themselves.

Thank you for coming here at the meditation hall, all our friends on YouTube and Facebook. I wish all of you to be peaceful and enjoy your life.
