2001: It Was There – Mantra#2 – NamMo TaMo TaMo DaRaHoang

Good Morning. We are ready for the second year. Now is the time for us to sit down comfortable with the position that you feel and then let go of everything. Let us begin to practice today please.

Nam Mo Shakyamuni

Mu A Mu Sa

Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Hoang

Dear all my friends, it is one year already. We all have been practicing together for one year. Just a blink of your eyes, one year is gone. The year of all kinds of things messed up. Covid, this and that. But we are very happy sitting down and practicing, to take root deep into great compassion energy connecting us with the Buddha and practicing the mantra #1 we call Mu A Mu Sa. It means connecting with the compassion energy of all Buddhas in the ten directions. We live with the now, within the living spirit. Throughout the year, we practice in many different thoughts to see clearer what Is the great compassion energy. Could help us to be living with the real life. Still more to come, so much more. Because within the great compassion we live now without we will die, even within the moving body. However, we just take one year at a time. We will come back eventually to the first mantra, Mu A Mu Sa. We will always be connecting with the great compassion energy.

The great compassion energy is helping us to open up our life to see the truth of who we are, and to reach out to help all our loved ones. The second mantra is just like the one who doesn’t have good vision and cannot see things clearly. So we put on glasses to see 20:20 so we can see clearer what causes suffering and then watch all things happen. There is impermanence. We know there is no “I” there is a stage of happiness that we focus on this year. WE dig in deeper to understand every moment of ourself. What is causing our suffering. We look deep into to not be scared, or be sad. But to see the truth of cause and effect, and we have a chance to fix it to make things better.

Let’s repeat the mantra a few times to get the sounds correct.

Nam Mo, Ta Mo, Ta Mo, Da Ra Houng

Nam Mo, Ta Mo, Ta Mo, Da Ra Houng

It means, “May the Buddhas bless us for us to see and recognize the truth of suffering: Impermanance, no I, and Nirvana. Which is the stage of highest happiness. We are going to combine together mantra #1 & #2.

Just listen to me first. I do the same technique. Breathe in by my nose, expand my belly, hold it there for three seconds, breathe out, sunken the belly

Just listen first, and I am going to ask all my friends here to repeat after me.

MUUUU Aaaaa Muuuu Saaaaa   breathe in and out Nam Mooo Ta Mooo Ta Moo Da Ra Houng

That is how we are going to do it. As long as you follow along with me and the friends who are here at the Frederick meditation hall, you will be ok. Remember we practice together and share out thought to understand. So just take time. I am very patient to be with you so you can get along well.

Now put your right hand on top of your left hand. We call wisdom and compassion together. May all sentient beings, be free of suffering, and receive compassion energy from all Buddhas from the ten directions to see through the suffering, impermanence, no I, and Nirvana. Breathe in, expanding your belly, hold it there for three seconds, concentrate on the heaven gate point, breathe out, sunken your belly, chanting the mantra: Muuuu Aaaaa Muuuu Saaaa  Breathe in, out, chanting: Nam Moo Ta Moo Ta Moo Da Ra Houng

That is one. Just that way. OK we repeat a second time.

You are sitting still and keep reciting the mantra Mu A Mu Sa, and Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng using the breathing techniques silently

Today we are talking about What is there. Buddha says the Buddha nature is there. It was there is there and always will be there. There is nothing that can take it away from us. There is nothing we can do to push it away. But yes there are so many things we have done to cover it up. So therefore, we cannot even see clearly and slowly, we forget it. So, the Buddha nature was there still there and forever will be there. The second mantra we learn today, N Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng is helping the compassion energy working on different views for us to see the truth of the suffering of life in many different ways. For so long every time we suffer, we were so weak that we never were strong enough to see the truth of that suffering, and what was causing it. We were so hurried to grab anything to blame because of that, create my suffering, but never see through clearly to understand whatever you have done creates that suffering. We never be able to have the chance to fix it, to repair it. Na Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng provides us with the higher energy for us to be stronger to have the wisdom vision to see through the causes of any kind of suffering that we experience. Then we can fix it and make it better every day.

There are so many things that cause our suffering. Don’t hurry to jump deep into that and suffer more every moment. Be patient, watch, investigate to see the truth.

Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng activates and lifts up the compassion energy up to the highest level to be used for us to know the truth. This is wonderful. It is like when you go to the vision doctor. Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta MO Da Ra Houng corrects your vision so you can see th truth. Could be you suffer because of the relationship between husband and wife. We don’t have time to look back. We very easily to turn on the jump start and get angry. Therefor, we blame each other. Then the relationship slowly breaks. In Buddhist teaching, Buddha asks us to sit down and relax when facing the great challenge of all kinds of suffering to know the truth off what we hve don incorporates with someone else, or even just ourself to create our own suffering. Just like the farmer, he works on his farm, cleans it up, keeps working until the land is ready to plant the new season. Spring is coming. We know what we are going to plan. But before that we are going to work with our land first. Namm Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng helps us grow up our compassion Mu A Mu Sa. Now time for us to grow the compassion seed to benefit for ourselves, our loved ones, society, friends, the Sanga, for all. It is really important. You inherit all kinds of good seeds. Compassion seeds, from the Buddha from ten directions. We have to learn the techniques. We have to become th true farmer woring on our own life to make the good crop to offer to all and to feed ourself.

So when you are chanting Mu A Mu Sa together with Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng, you will experience a different energy to help you see yourself much better every day. Remember, no one is perfect, but we have a power to perfect ourself every single day of our life. So we don’t seek for the perfect one, the chosen one, but we get along with the one who chooses to perfect themselves day after day. In my life I am never looking for the perfect one, because my master told me there is no perfect one, no chose one. WE make choices, so to choose friends who know how to perfect their lives every day. That is why we are here. That is why we are friends. We know we are not perfect, but we hare that same thought together, we can perfect ourselves. Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng helps us perfect ourself, corrects our vision to see the good view of all. 360degrees around, not just a small angle of our own view. So all we need to do is be with the good friend, who made the special determination to practice and engage in to a good practice to transform our greed, our anger, our delusions. Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Dar Ra Houng. Helps us to peal off whatever we have done to cover up the Buddha nature we could not even see. We will no practice. You will see it slowly. When you practice this you will experience, a special experience, a good energy which interacts physically, mentally and spiritually. Don’t blame yourself when you see your views. But every time you see your views there is a chance for you to fix, to perfect yourself.

So now we do together again.

May all sentient beings be free of suffering and receive compassion energy from all Buddhas from the ten directions. See the truth of suffering, impermanence, no I and Nirvana. Breathe in expanding you belly, hold it there for three seconds. Concentrate on the heaven gate point, breathe out Sunken your belly, chanting the mantra: Muuu Aaaa Muu Saa In/out chanting: Nam Moo Ta Moo Ta Moo Da Ra Houng

Be silent and keep your thoughts on the top of your head. Be aware of all kinds of sensations which create suffering and say to yourself, those suffering was there is not there, it is from me that it was created. I created the cause and now I feel the effects. I can recreate the cause of happiness by compassion, by wisdom to create a good sensation of happiness. What is there that is suffering is because of a cause, I create a new stage of sensations with happiness. We have a power to change, to fix, to convert and to make it happen to be perfect sensation. Look around to the one who related to us that we cause their suffering. We offer a good energy from Mu A Mu Sa, and Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng to that person and ourselves, that both understand the truth of the suffering and fix it to be happy. Look around to anyone could be a husband, wife, children, mom, parents, friend, say out loud inside our mind, perfect. Everyone be able to perfect themselves and give all a good chance to perfect themselves at the right time, the right amount of times that need it for them and for us to fix. May all receive a very good energy, the compassion energy from the Buddha. The compassion of Mu A Mu Sa the empowerment energy of Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng for us to see the truth of all matters, to improve, to fix or to let go.

Ok just relax. So quick, one year has already gone by and 30 minutes of practicing are done. Something within a very short time of practice has passed. Just try to remember, Nam Mo Ta Mo Ta Mo Da Ra Houng is the mantra to empower your energy for you to see the truth of suffering of all phenomena is impermanent, and there is no self, no I and Nirvana. What does Nirvana mean? The higher state of happiness caused by the good for everlasting. It is good for us to enter into that stage. Thank you so much for practicing with us for one Year already. There is another year waiting ahead, we made a vow to practice together and thank you to be with me and us today. Have a wonderful weekend. I will see you next Saturday. Don’t forget to practice. Let us put our hands together and bow out of this class. May all the Buddhas bless us, may all our families be happy, and may we all be strong enough to take on another year of practice. May all sentient beings benefit through this practice and be enlightened sometime in the future.

Thank you and have a good weekend.
